The boxing day test 2009 has started. Australia has batted first and by the end of day 1, they have managed 305/3. Pakistan missed a lot of chances including initial drops, miss-fields and so on. However, Watson and Katich missed their centuries scoring 93 and 98 respectively. Ponting got to a great fifty but was one towards the end of day.
The most notable thing in the 1st day of Boxing day test was the run out of Watson. Unlucky fellow, couldn't reach his maiden hundred in tests again.
