Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2010

The group stage of T20 world cup has just finished and the Super 8 will start from May 6. Unlike previous editions, the super 8 features top 8 test playing teams with no minnows being able to occupy a spot. Teams will now be divided in two groups containing 4 each where they play 1 match against each other. The top 2 teams in each group qualify for the semi-final and finally the final.

  1. Actually, as per the seedings given by ICC, Australia was unseeded and Bangladesh was seeded above them in their group. So technically, there has been an upset with Australia qualifying ahead of Bangladesh.

    But yes, this should be a good tournament now with top 8 teams in the fray.
