India has won the first test between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh though lost fought well and proved that they are with test standard. After bowling out India for 243 in first inning they could only make 242 runs. India on replay made 413 and declared. Bangladesh needing 415 runs to win fought well but got all out on 301. Sachin Tendulkar who made century in first inning was man of the match.
Day 1: Bangladesh came back strongly in the day 1 of first choosing to field first after winning the toss. The opening partnership of Sehwag and Gambhir made it 79/0 but then 8 wickets fell one after the other.After the end of day, India are 213/8 with Tendulkar on 76 and Ishant Sharma on 1. Shahadat Hossain and captain Shakib Al Hasan took 4 wickets each.
