England : 270/2 in 50 overs
West Indies : 244/7 in 46.2 overs (target 246 in 46.2 overs D/L method)

Coach Joh Dyson's miscalculation cause the defeat to the West Indies team in the opener of ODI series. It was when the West Indies 7th wicket of D Ramdin fell. The nex batsman has not taken guard before umpires offered light and players wen off. WI's coach Dyson was more confident but the shock came when he saw the match results from refree. After some moment he found his mistakes and apolosized for his mistakes what he had done.

This all reminds the same mistake of SA's Shaun Pollock who did the same sort of mistake in 2003 world Cup and his team was ruled out of super six.

Before all this in the morning, Endland won the toss and chose to bat first. Strauss and Bopara opened for England. Start was quie moderate but after 6.2 overs 1st wicket came down when captain was caugh by Bravo on he bowling of Powell. Soon Pieterson was out for 15 and score was 64-2 in 13th over by Bravo. Some patnership between Bopara and Shah was broken in 24th over. 98 runs stand for Shah and Collingwood made England 215-4 in 42 overs, Collingwood sayed for quite late but Shah was ou for 62 runs with four boundaries. Collingwood got 69 runs and Stauart Broad a the end got 26 off 21.

WI's bowling was quite undisciplined which cause 28 extra runs to Eng. Bravo and Pollard got 2 each whereas Miller and Powell got a each.

Wes Indies came to chase the target of 271 in 50 overs. Soon hey lost captain for 2 in 3rd over. Then quite handy patnerships on the middle were bringing the team near a victory. Opening Simmons got 65 off 105 to se a platform for the team. The required rate came down when Chanderpaul got 26 runs (4,6,4,4,4,4) in Harmison's 7h over. Sarwan scored 57, Chanderpaul 46 off 30 and Pollard 42. West Indies were smelling victory. Miscalculation came to act. and so happen " WI lose by 1 run.

Broad was impressive in bowling department as he knocked 3 WI's batsman Gayle, Chanderpaul and Ramdin. Anderson took 2 whereas Batty and Collingwood got a each.
