Preview of the IPL 2009 final.

Final of IPL 2009 - Deccan Chargers Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

IPL 2009 is going to end today with a new winner. Making everyone astonished, the two teams in the bottom of IPL 2008 rushed to the final of IPL 2009. Rajasthan Royals, the 2008 champions were out early from 2009 and other top teams too couldn't make it to finals.

May 24, 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa
Start time : 14:30 GMT, 20:00 in India

Deccan Chargers lead by Adam Gilchrist with almost the same team as in 2008 is going be at least the runner-up of 2009. The only change in the team was handling of captaincy to Gilchrist from Laxman. But it was not actually a change as Gilchrist acted as the captain in most matches of 2008 as laxman was unfit. Deccan Chargers started the 2009 season with 4 wins in first four matches but then started loosing. Finally, they qualified with 14 points in 4th place ahead of Kings XI Punjab.

Bangalore on the other hand tried to make big change by buying Kevin Pietersen- the most expensive player in the team. But he proved to be useless and the players of 1st season like Kallis and Kumble proved to be vital. Kumble's Captaincy has too been praised. Jesse Ryder, the other big change in team was also a great flop. Kallis, Dravid and Kumble who were also in fist season helped the team in reaching the finals.

Finally,
Player to watch out in the fianal of IPL 2009:

Adam Gilchrist: Gilchrist is a man in tremendous form. His inning in the semis was superb. And remember the fact that when it comes to finals, Gilchrist shows his best performance. Remember the finals of World cup 1999, 2003 and the most important - 2009.

Manish Pandey: The man who smashed 114 runs in the league match against Deccan Chargers, Manish Pandey seems to be in great touch. He was also great in the semi-final against Chennai.

RP Singh: RP Singh is the highest wicket taker of IPL 2009. He has shown great bowling taking wickets in regular interval.

Jaques Kallis: Kallis is the highest runs scorer for Bangalore. It is mainly due to Kallis which has helped Bangalore win so many matches.

IPL 2009, second semi-final
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
May 23, 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa

The second semi-final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2009 is between two South-Indian teams- Dhoni lead Chennai Super Kings and Kumble lead Royal Challengers Bangalore. CSK and RCB reached the semi-finals as 2nd and 3rd respectively in the league table. With Hayden and Raina in tremendous form, Chennai were cruising from the initial stages of IPL while Bangalore seemed to be following their IPL 2008 steps initially but a superb comeback in the middle stages of league made them qualify for the semis.

Chennai and Bangalore head to head: Out of 4 matches in IPL, the two have won 2 each. Another interesting fact is that both have won 1 match each in each IPL season i.e in IPL 2009 and IPL 2008. Kings XI Punjab VS Bangalore Royal Challengers - LIVE

11th match: Kings XI Punjab VS Royal Challengers Bangalore
Venue: Durban Time: 14:30 GMT, 20:00 India
April 24, 2009

Kings XI Punjab are at the bottom of the IPL league table and following them are Royal Challengers Bangalore at 6th Place. Win in the first match for Bangalore produced a lot of hopes but two continuous losses has reminded us of their game in previous season. Dravid seems to be the only person consistent for the team. On the other hand, in absense of Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Taylor and other key players, Punjab seems to be underdogs.

Preview:
Both the teams are now lead by their new captain and new coach with lots of new enthusiam than in the 1st season of IPL 2008. And their changes seemed to have worked where they were able to register win in the opener of the season IPL. Deccan Chargers were seemed to be in great form going after their 1st match in 2009 where they beat KKR by 8 wickets. The team was performing from every aspects of the games and the boys seemed to be well prepared for the challenges. This is their second match of IPL and they want the win in order to show others that they have real changes in the IPL 2009 to that of 2008.

RCB who finished 7th in the innugraul IPL season have also started well with the new captain Kevin Pieterson. Bangalore defeated last season's champion Rajasthan. But they lost their second match against the Chennai Super Kings. In the both match played batting seemed to be a great problem in the side who have very great names in the paper. Bwling was tremendous in the 1st match but it came down in the 2nd one. So Bangalore requires the most win here in IPL 2009 to show that they have more than they got in IPL 2008.

Last Say for the Day:
For Bangalore the match is very necessary to win as they have to be with others in IPL 2009. Captain have had some starts but no real magic which is much expected for the day. Some more performance from the payed players like Steyn and Taylor. Ryder could replace Taylor. What about playing Mark Boucher but replacement could be problem.

Deccan Chargers have great batting and bowling line-up and no changes of team can work for this match too.
