Only the final moment in the last game of Qualifiers in Nokia Champions league finalized the two out of three teams playing in Champion League 2011 group stage starting from September 23. Both Somerset and Kolkata has qualified from the same pool. Kolkata had same pints as that of Ruhuna in another pool.
It was Kolkata had to make at least 154 runs to qualify whereas they needed 167 to win against the Somerset. At the end they managed to get 155 runs in 20 overs. Kolkata had the run rate -0.225 and Ruhana ended the qualifiers with net run-rate -0.275.
Earlier Ruhuna defeated another country team Leicester by some margin of 4 runs. They had to wait for the 8PM match for their fate in CLT20 2011. Unfortunate for them, they would have wished for more marginal victory over the Kolkata by Somerset.
Yesterday,Trinidad and Tobago was already ensured of increasing their length of stay at India. On the other hand, Auckland Aces of New Zealand had lesser stay in the South Asian nation. Its now the Sri Lankan Ruhuna Eleven and English Leicester Foxes going back to home.
