Former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly has been signed by the Pune Warriors India to play IPL. Ganguly, who was unsold in IPL auction will replace injured Ashish Nehra.

Ganguly was unsold on the IPL auction on January where he was base priced $400,000. In earlier 3 edition of IPL, Ganguly played for Kolkata Knight Riders. Ganguly was in the verse of comeback in IPL earlier for Kochi but was rejected by IPL governing council. Further, he was asked the mentor's role from KKR team which he rejected.
Earlier Chris Gayle was signed for Bangalore's team in place of injured Dirk Nannes. Gayle was also unsold in the auctions.

ReplyDeleteWell said! It's a pity that Pune is not playing KKR at Eden Garden's otherwise, history would have been created by the Kolkotta fan's cheering for the pune team at Eden Gardens, showing SRK his place.
