IPL 2010 to be shown live on Youtube

IPL 3 will be streamed live on Youtube. This is a great news for the cricket fans wishing to watch IPL matches live online for free. Google India and BCCI have partnered to broadcast the Indian Premier League. So, Youtube now will broadcast the series live which begins on March and runs for 44 days with 59 matches.

Highlights videos from IPL 2 were already shown on Youtube on IPL's channel. However, showing the series live is a new move and it will be available on the channel IPL. Still, broadcasting IPL live on Internet for free is not a new move. IPL 2008 and 2009 were shown live on IPL's official website IPLT20.com.

Youtube will broadcast all the 60 matches of IPL free all over the world. In USA, it may be late broadcast showing the action 5 minutes later ((or similar). There will also be special features and unique content developed only for Youtube not available in television. Another great part is that we will be able to choose from different camera views. Along with live broadcast, Youtube will also feature on-demand highlights of IPL 2010.

Here's what IPL commissioner Lalit Modi says about IPL 2010 broadcast on Youtube:
