The fourth ODI between Sri Lanka and India can be a decider of series if India wins. Sri Lankan win makes it 2-2 to be decided by final. After high-scoring first and second ODI, the third ODI once seemed similar but with Indian slow bowlers doing brilliant job, it was not cracker with the bat. The pitch at Edens Garden may too favour the Indian slow blowers. Still Sri Lanka can have great advantage due to missing of some key Indian players like Dhoni and Yuvraj.
4th ODI: India v Sri Lanka at Kolkata
Date: December 24 Time: 14:30 local, 09:00 GMT
Both the team miss some key players in the fourth ODI. Dhoni's 2-match keeps him away and Yuvraj will not feature in upcoming two matches. Sreesanth after suffering from flu too has been ruled out. Sri Lanka too will miss Angelo Matthews, Muttiah Muralitharan and Dilhara Fernando due to injury.
Sri Lanka must consider calling back Sanath Jayasuriya back into the team for the 4th ODI. Opening is solid with Dilshan and Tharanga. Sangakkara too in great form and they cannot drop Jayawardene. Then arises the problem of picking more batsmen. Kandamby is in and I think Jayasuriya must be in the team instead of Kapugedara and Samaraweera. Bowlers can be Mendis, Randiv, Welegedara, Malinga and Kulasekera.
Indian spinners Harbajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja have been great in the series. Zaheer, Ishant and Nehra will lead the pace attack. Batting is expected to be same with one change of Kohli coming in for Yuvraj.
