Finally, it has been confirmed that the final of ICC Cricket world cup 2011 will be held in Wankhede stadium in Mumabai. The tournament which is to be jointly orgainized by India, Sri Lanka and Banglandesh will feature 29 matches in India. It will be held in 8 venues in India. Mohali will host the semis while quarter-finals will be hosted in Ahmedabad.
With still the full fixtures and schedule of the cricket's biggest tournament still to come, the venues in India are now confirmed. Along with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh too host the tournament. Bangladesh will be hosting the opening ceremony and other matches including a quarter final while Sri Lanka will feature one semi-final and other quarter final.
