Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
May 23, 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa
Start time: 16.30 local, (14:30 GMT), 8:00 in India

The second semi-final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2009 is between two South-Indian teams- Dhoni lead Chennai Super Kings and Kumble lead Royal Challengers Bangalore. CSK and RCB reached the semi-finals as 2nd and 3rd respectively in the league table. With Hayden and Raina in tremendous form, Chennai were cruising from the initial stages of IPL while Bangalore seemed to be following their IPL 2008 steps initially but a superb comeback in the middle stages of league made them qualify for the semis.

Chennai and Bangalore head to head: Out of 4 matches in IPL, the two have won 2 each. Another interesting fact is that both have won 1 match each in each IPL season i.e in IPL 2009 and IPL 2008. In IPL 2009, Chennai defeated Bangalore by a huge margin of 92 runs while in second match Bangalore rushed to victory with two wickets remaining.
