India Vs New Zealand 1st test, 2009 - Day 2
India -278/4 in 90.4 overs at the end of day due to bad light, trailing by 1 run.
India managed to get a steady progress on day 2 of first test between India and New Zealand. After loosing Sehwag early being run out, New Zealand seemed to be in control but Dravid and Gambhir played at slow pace but brilliantly making half centuries each. And finally Sachin was the man who played slowly at first but magnificent strokes during the last session.
After the dismissal of Sehwag, runs were not flowing and NZ bowlers looked disciplined. But no movement of ball inspite of a lot of moisture was a problem. Gambhir managed 72, Dravid 66 and Tendulkar was not out on 70. The economy of New Zealand bowlers shows how slow was the match.
So, third day may be a bit faster and with more strokes.
