West Indies defeated England in the only Twenty20 in their home comfortably. Lights of Sarwan made the victory for the home team who chased the target of 122 runs. After winning toss, WI invited England to bat first and restricted them to 121 runs with some disciplinary bowling.
Edwards and Baker started the bowling with super spells. It was spinner S Benn who took 3 wickets in the middle.Three run outs were also disastrous for the English team. Wicket Keeper Davies top scored with 27 runs where as captain Strauss scored 22 runs before he was run out.
In reply, Sarwan opened and opened brilliantly. He scored 59 runs off 46 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. He smashed the English bowlers all the way.
After winning the test series 1-0, West Indies has now won the t20 series as well. The ODI series is set to start and they must be full of confidence. It is going to be a new challenge to new English captain Strauss who is playing ODI after 2 years.
