IPL opening ceremony 2011 - Live | IPL 4

IPL 4 starts from April 8, 2011 with an opening ceremony in Chennai. Bollywood stars and singers will be performing in the opening of IPL. Organized by Wizcraft Entertainment, it will feature Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan in the IPl anthem.

Along with SRK, singers Sona Mahapatra, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala and Akriti Kakar will feature in the event. IPL is one of the biggest events in cricket. With India's win in the world cup, IPL is expected to be viewed by more fans in India.

Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders - Live in IPL 2011 | CSK vs KKR

The first match of IPL 2011 is going to be between Chennai and Kolkata. With 10 teams this time, most of the players are changed. CSK, the defending champion has retained its captain but has quite new faces. KKR on the other hand looks completely changed.

Lead by Indian captain Dhoni, CSK has players like Raina, Ashwin, Bollinger, Styris and Albie Morkel. KKR has new looks this time with Gambhir being the captain. Yousuf Pathan, Kallis, Morgan, Shakib are the players to watch out.

Highlights of Cricket world cup final 2011 - India vs Sri Lanka

India has won the ICC Cricket World cup 2011. India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final match. Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were the heroes of the match. Gambhir made 97 while Dhoni was not out on 91. India reached the total in 48.2 overs.

Sri Lanka after winning the toss has chose to bat first. Sri Lanka made 274/6 in 50 overs. Jayawardene was the hero as he made 103 runs off 88 balls. They started slow and lost two wickets early. Some sensible batting from Sangakkara, Samaraweera, Kulasekara and last minute fireworks from Thissara Perera helped them  a lot.

 Talking more about the match, Zaheer bowled superb at beginning but went for plenty in the last 5 overs. Yuvraj took 2 wickets and was pick of the bowlers.

Cricket World cup final 2011 - Live | India vs Sri Lanka

Finally the day has come. India and Sri Lanka will battle for the cricket world cup on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Sri Lanka made it to the final in 2007 while India in 2003 both losing against Australia. Australia's regime has ended and we will see a new world cup champion tomorrow.
