Highlights of India vs South Africa 1st ODI 2010

India vs South Africa 1st ODI has turned out to be one of the most exciting cricket matches with a nail-biting finish. South Africa at one stage required 62 runs from 30 balls with 2 wickets remaining but last minute drama from Parnell and Steyn brought the match in South Africa's favour being decided by the last ball.

South Africa just required 10 runs from last over with 2 wicket remaining, Steyn got out in second ball and South Africa required 9. With 7 runs required from last two balls, Langeveldt scored a 3 and they just required 4 from last ball. With Parnell facing the ball, the last ball ultimately turned out to be a wide (crazy). South Africa requiring 3 off last ball just got run out scoring 1. India won the match by 1 run.

1st Inning : Sachin lost his wicket early and most of other batsmen got good starts but couldn't convert them to big scores. It was ultimately Raina who crossed the 50 and took India to a commendable position. Some low by valuable scores by lower order batsmen finally took India to 298/9 in 50 overs. Captain Jacques Kallis took 3 wickets for South Africa.

2nd Inning: South Africa got to a good start but lost two openers when team total reached 58 and 64. Wickets then fell at regular interval but there was captain Jacques Kallis batting at one end. No one could give strong support to Kallis. Kallis made 89 runs before being out in crucial time. The last 5 overs comeback from Steyn and Parnell took the match back in South Africa's favour.
