Apart fro having same points as Ruhuna, KKR were little bit ahead in points table. This is the first time KKR are in this tournament and wanted to win any trophy for the first time. After the qualfying stage now Kolkata are placed in Group B with Somerset, Bangalore, Warriors and South Australia.

ICC has confirmed the all the dates and fixtures of ICC World Twenty20 also known as T20 World Cup 2012. The tournament is scheduled to start from September 18 which will feature all together 12 international teams. The teams will be 10 test-playing nations and 2 teams from the qualifying stage to be played later at UAE.

Altogether there will be 26 matches played with 2 semis and 1 finals. Sri Lanka has confirmed that the matches will be played at Colombo, Pallekele and Hambantota.
